Ketterman’s high school career has not only been a unique time in her life, but a whirlwind of experiences and lessons as well.
“It’s definitely gone by really fast,” said Ketterman, reflecting on the friendships she’s made during this significant time.
Of her many high school memories, one has really stood out to her. During her sophomore year, Ketterman reminisces over a memory she made during a debate tournament.
Ketterman said, “We played hide and seek in the school for debate. That was pretty fun.”
Through school activities, such as debate, Ketterman has been able to form unforgettable memories with her peers. In addition, school has allowed her to create relationships that could last a lifetime.
While her high school years aren’t over yet, Ketterman still takes time to contemplate on what she’ll miss most.
Ketterman said, “I think I’m gonna miss the people and the classes, but I definitely won’t miss the work.”
From Ketterman’s perspective, the bittersweet idea of leaving her high school career behind relies heavily on the memories and people, rather than the burden of school work.
As Ketterman wraps up her high school years, she looks forward to what lies ahead.
“My plans are to go to Manhattan Christian College and get a dual degree through K-State,” Ketterman said.
She plans to major in teaching in hopes of becoming the role model she wished she had while growing up. With a bright future ahead, Ketterman hopes to leave a legacy by educating the younger generations to come.
