It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover tells the emotional story of Lily Bloom, a young woman who falls in love with Ryle Kincaid, who in appearance is a perfect neurosurgeon with a dark side to him. As their relationship deepens, Lily faces tough choices about staying with someone who hurts her or walking away for the sake of her own well-being. The book tackles tough topics like domestic violence but does so in a way that feels real and relatable. It’s a powerful story about love, self-worth, and finding the courage to break free from harmful situations. I personally loved the way that the author addressed such a sensitive subject. It was a beyond incredible read that I would recommend, the book really encourages the understanding of the choices we make for ourselves. The story is very emotional as it navigates things like love, heartbreak, and finding strength to stand up for yourself. Hoover’s writing style is real and relatable, I don’t feel like she is over exaggerating any of the tough situations throughout the book she made them all very real. This book is more than just a romance novel; it’s a story of self love and self growth that I could not put down.
If you or someone you know has been affected or is being affected by domestic violence please call 800.799.SAFE (7233) or visit the website at thehotline.org for more information.
