“yes, and” Review

yes, and Review

This song sung by Ariana Grande, although slightly repetitive, is, I think, a great pop song. Because I listen to a variety of music genres and produce my own music, so I have a fair understanding of composition and sound production from a variety of genres.

“Yes, And?” is a professionally mixed and mastered track with soft vocals and a catchy, uptempo feel. The song is well produced and has a full sound, group and solo vocals and a large combination of instruments.

Produced by Max Martin, a Swedish songwriter, record producer and singer, and ILYA, who also produced a Grande past project, “Problem”, “Yes, And?” released on January 12, 2024, by Republic Records, a record label from America who is owned by Universal Music Group (UMG) and is based in New York City, New York. Both Max Martin and ILYA have had years of experience in the music industry and have worked with Ariana Grande in the past as well.

Compared to her last full-length album, “Positions”, “Yes, And?” is an average performing song from Ariana Grande, but it stays consistent with her past work. As she branches out in her creative expression, she never seems to disappoint her fans with every new release.

I would recommend only listening to the edited version of this song, because it does not have any unnecessary instrumental sections. If you like empowering pop songs or Ariana Grande in general, this song is perfect for you.

The song is well produced and has a full sound with group and solo vocals and a large combination of instruments. Her substantial span of musical frequencies gives a well-crafted atmosphere.

“Yes, and?” is an average performing song for Ariana Grande. Nothing too crazy, but it stays consistent with her unique sound as an artist.
