From book to theater, another Colleen Hover bestselling book Regretting You has captivated audiences once again. Author Colleen Hoover delighted book lovers by turning another one of her award-winning novels into a cinematic experience. On October 24, eager audiences flocked to the movie theatre to see the highly anticipated movie.
I thought the movie was spectacular from production quality to the performance of the actors themselves. Those two things made this movie stand out to me. Each actor brought the story to life through delivering authetic emotions. However, these are not the only reasons why I think this movie is such a hit.
Based on just the acting and actors alone, I would recommend seeing this movie. All the characters throughout the movie make you feel like the emotions are real. Their performances made me sit on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. I give the actors a 10/10 rating for their performances.
Acting alone though is not the only thing that makes this movie shine. Regretting You, expertly conveys a wide range of emotions from heartbreak and grief to love and anger allowing audiences and myself to connect deeply with the movie. The actors ability to portray all of these emotions convincingly earns the film a solid 9/10 rating.
Beyond acting and emotions, the movie excells in storytelling. Regretting You explores the profound impact that grief can have on a person life while incorporating other familiar themes of love and family earning it a 9 out of 10 for storytelling.
Overall, Regretting You successfully had the audience and myself having all the feels. I might have even teared up a little bit. The movie is filled with emotions, compelling performance, and a story that resonates long after the credits roll and my popcorn box was emptied.
Regretting You shows the power of how grief can impact someone’s life. I would give the overall movie itself an 8/10 rating.
