On November 10, the school board met in Westmoreland Elementary Library where the main topic was about ways to save money for the district through the possibility of switching electric companies.
The school board is looking to possibly switch to the electric company Evergy to conserve money and in order to do this they had to start saving in order to switch the companies. The superintendent wants to get a sale resolution by December or January and get the final vote in January.
Each building gave a brief update to the board about things happening in the school.
The St. George principal Megan Umsheid updated the board about what they were gonna do for their Veterans Day celebration, where they will have fourth graders greet the veterans and get the choir to sing the national anthem.
Athletic Director Darwin Thomlinson for Rock Creek High School informed the board about the selling of tickets online through the Go Fans app for football and how much tickets are being sold the night of the game and the presale tickets for the football games.
The next school board meeting is December 8th.
