Whiteout Vol. 1

The artist’s perspective on his first full-length album.
Whiteout+Vol.+1

Whiteout Vol. 1 is the name of my first, full-length album. The 15-track project features artists such as BaKu and b.wub and tells a melodious story intended to bring back youthful feelings of the experience of winter and, specifically, Christmas in a soft, nostalgic way.

I have taken a lot of inspiration from Wun Two’s series of album’s, Snow Vol. 1-8 to form what you can now hear on streaming platforms. While I started the project in September of 2023, it was intended to be published by December, in time for the holidays, but I learned so much in that small time frame that I ended up working on it until January of 2024. Lofi Classics quickly came alongside me to publish the project and it was released on March 10, 2024.

After amassing 4,000+ streams on Spotify alone within the first week of its release, Whiteout Vol. 1 seems to be resonating with fans, even the few, on a personal level. The most popular song on the album “Winter Kahlua” was the first teaser single for Whiteout Vol. 1 and has reached 50+ countries since publication. Nearly 2,000 users have found the album in a positive light and have come back to listen and absorb the volume in its entirety, not just a part.

Other producers have given mixed feedback on Whiteout Vol. 1, some saying it does not flow well while others argue the mix is a unique and creative direction for my artistic future, suggesting I should focus on honing this sound on future projects.

I believe I used my capabilities to beautifully arrange an orchestra of my feelings into an album that resonates with me on a level only the few can capture . Whiteout Vol. 1 tells a story about how it feels to be a kid during the most wonderful time of the year and the complexity of how those feelings may conform as age impacts one’s emotions.

You can find Whiteout Vol. 1 on all major streaming platforms, under my artists’ name, pockets, and attend to the project’s sentimental warmth of jazzhop beats.

I never thought I would find myself shooting concerts as a fifteen-year-old freshman in high school. Film and Digital Photography is what I'm most passionate about, but I occasionally write articles about my experiences and popular topics or opinions. I'm so thankful that God has given me the opportunity to create, even in school.
